Jackie & Justin work for two of the UK’s finest architectural practices and it was pretty obvious why they chose the stunning Luton Hoo as the venue for their winter wedding. With it’s grandiose exterior emerging at the end of a long and sweeping approach and containing one of the finest grand staircases I’ve ever seen, the mansion is an architectural marvel. Luton Hoo has some history too, having been frequented on many an occasion by the monarchy, and the set for several movies including Four Weddings and a Funeral.

Jackie & Justin’s attention to detail was very much evident throughout their wedding, from the Chinese tea wedding favours to the wedding stationery and even the styling of the Romanov Suite, a former Russian Orthodox Chapel used for their wedding breakfast. The pinnacle of their design efforts was a stunning multi-tiered wedding cake which replicated the plaster relief work adorning the walls of Luton Hoo.

The day started with Jackie’s preparations in the beautiful Lady Sia suite, before an emotional civil ceremony and a laughter-filled traditional Chinese tea ceremony. Jackie then changed into a beautiful Jenny Packham evening dress before speeches, and the evening’s entertainment.

A couple of weeks before their wedding on a cold and crisp December afternoon Jackie & Justin met me in Regent’s Park for their engagement shoot. When you’ve finished feasting your eyes on their wedding, head over to my blog post to see some images from a fantastic couple of hours.

UPDATE: Jackie & Justin’s wedding has now been featured in the Jan / Feb edition of Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire Brides Magazine
