There is something very special about winter weddings – crisp fresh air, vapour trails, long shadows, the remnants of autumnal leaves on the ground and days that feel like they could slip into night at any moment. So it was with great anticipation that I awaited the wedding of Jess & Alici at the beautiful Pembroke Lodge in London’s finest and most expansive bit of green space, Richmond Park.
The sun was setting just as guests were arriving for the ceremony which meant that the entire wedding would effectively be one long night shoot. The ceremony was a beautifully relaxed and laughter filled affair. Now officially husband and wife, Jess & Alici kindly agreed to step out into the wet and cold for a few minutes. Despite some slightly soggy feet were were able create some unique images using the limited light from the lodge.
When you have two DJs as clients the party will always be good fun albeit the second and no doubt cooler celebration went on elsewhere long after I had left.

His manner is calm, thoughtful, sharp and uplifting – and helped retain a level of serenity, in what can be a manic and crazy day. We were absolutely thrilled with the final photographs. Richard covered all the shots we specifically requested, as well as many more ingenious and creative ones.
Richard captured the essence and atmosphere of the day and the different emotions perfectly, and we couldn’t have hoped for a better job!
Needless to say we highly and thoroughly recommend Richard as an awesome and talented photographer”
