Recently I had the privilege and honour of being asked to fly to Mexico to photograph Marika & Andy’s wedding at the beautiful Barcelo Hotel in Playa del Carmen on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.
We had arranged a pre-wedding shoot in the most literal of senses in that we were meeting the evening before their big day. The plan was to have a casual stroll along the beach. However as we were about to begin the winds increased and a huge storm rolled in which somewhat forced a rethink in our plans.
Things have a habit of working out for the best. We managed to get some moodier images in and around the hotel which ended up contrasting with the beautiful, calm and sunny day we enjoyed on the wedding itself, images of which are for another post…
