Roundhouse Camden Family Photography Bar Mitzvah - Sam & Family
A fun engagement shoot in the unique undercroft at Camden's Roundhouse
I love learning about my clients and their lives. In part this is just a natural inquisitiveness. But it also helps me understand more about who they are as people and, in turn, I find I can photograph them in a more informed way.
Speaking to Sam’s mum the day before their pre-Bar Mitzvah family shoot, we were genuinely stuck for the perfect location when she mentioned Sam’s love of drama and theatre. I suggested the Roundhouse theatre in Camden when Lorraine realised that we might be able to arrange special access to the undercroft at the theatre.
Cue a totally different and very unique shoot with Sam, his brother Zach and parents in a very atmospheric spot.
Four weeks later I met up with them again for Sam’s rehearsal at Woodside Park Synagogue. You can see some of the images here. Next up is his Bar Mitzvah celebration at the stunning Mayfair Hotel in central London.
