A wedding in it’s purest form is all about two people making a life-long commitment to one another in front of those closest to them. Tania & Stuart’s wedding was just that – small, intimate and full of love. Thirteen people all told, including four children, gathered inside the beautiful Ocean Kave, perched high up on the hillside with stunning views out to sea.

Westward Ho! in North Devon is one of my favourite places. I was fortunate enough to live there for two years, enjoying long walks along the beach, trying my best to surf and cycling through the beautiful countryside. Returning to my home-from-home in Devon, to a venue that I love dearly , and to spend the day in such great company barely constituted work.

Tania got ready with her daughter in the Penthouse at the Seahorse Apartments in the centre of the village, with it’s fantastic views across the beach and out to sea. The ceremony room at Ocean Kave then provided a private and informal setting for Tania & Stuart to say their vows and then host a small reception for their family, with games out on the lawn.

Tania & Stuart congratulations again and thanks to you both for making me feel like the 14th guest at your wedding – best summed up when your son offered me a cup-cake mid-shoot – a moment that has found it’s way into this blog.
