One of the great things about an engagement shoot is the opportunity to visit places that have meaning to a couple.

Natalie and Tom had won a free engagement shoot as part of a Facebook competition I ran at the start of the year. Lavender from Mayfield Lavender Farm in Surrey, was to play a big part in the theme for their wedding and so on a late summer’s afternoon we met at the farm entrance. With the bees buzzing around us we found a quiet patch of lavender fields to explore and try out some different shots with the two of them.

I can safely say that this was one of the nicest smelling shoots I’ve ever worked on and in contrast to some of the more urban locations I’ve been working in, getting low to the ground to take a photo was a positively enjoyable experience!
