HOLD THE PRESS! I’m delighted to be featured in the Evening Standard as part of Bridebook’s ’40 Best Wedding Photos of 2018′.
To be featured has been a total surprise: there was no competition or submission process. I only found out when a friend tagged me on social media.Â
The image, of Pooja’s final preparations ahead of her Hindu wedding at the Great Conservatory at Syon Park. It was taken during a highly symbolic moment during the end of bridal preparations. The image represented the coming together of three continents with Pooja at the time living in Dubai, her father in North America, and her mother in the UK. It would have been very easy to have posed or set the image up but it would not have the same peaceful and serene quality.
Here are some kind words from Pooja & Raman on their experience of having me as their wedding photographer…
“A big thank you to Richard Murgatroyd Photography for capturing our special day so beautifully. Richard, it was a true privilege to work with you. Professional, helpful and friendly throughout the planning and the big day.
Your photos tell our story so wonderfully and have captured the best moments and emotions. Our pictures are gorgeous and we have just put three large prints up in our new apartment. We have a great supply to cherish our special moments, so thank you.
Thank you so much for your support and the great quality photos. Highly recommend!! Pooja and Raman”
