Anthony & Nazan’s later winter / early spring wedding at Morden Hall in Wimbledon has stuck in my mind for some time. It was my penultimate wedding in March 2020 before the dreaded COVID19 lockdown. And whilst I’ve loved the intimacy, love and defiance of my 2020 micro-weddings, I write this post in hope that it won’t be long until my couples have the choice to marry and celebrate without too many restrictions.

Morden Hall in Wimbledon has been a long-time favourite venue of mine with lots of space and flexibility for couples to make it their own. It’s blessed with large and pretty grounds that look great in all seasons and the food is fantastic.

Nazan & Anthony’s wedding, on the anniversary of their meeting, was very special indeed. They fused elements from their Turkish, Syrian and Irish roots from the food to the dancing, and the day was packed with moments of emotion, little kindnesses and epic celebration.

The weather for early March was on our side too – with passages of beautiful blue skies and low winter sun which meant some outside time for canapés, groups and portraits, and an eventful sparkler tunnel to finish the evening.
