Sir David Brown was the owner of luxury car-maker Aston Martin and created what became the iconic sporting brand that was Aston Martin Racing. He was also keen fan of equestrian sports and he no doubt would have approved of the holding of the David Brown Trophy at the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club near Windsor on the most important day of the polo calendar at the RCBPC – the Price of Wales Trophy.

A fine array of Aston Martins, old and new, had been assembled outside including rare pre-war marques. The event attracted international presence coverage, an array of luxury brands, an auction, fashion show and fine art exhibition, with tickets sold in aid of Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

I was commissioned to photograph the event by the organisers of the David Brown Trophy. The brief was broad – to capture the energy, and atmosphere of the event, from the cars to the polo and the entertainment that had been laid on for the guests. Scroll down to view just a small selection of images from a very successful day.
