In Review: Wedding Photography by Richard Murgatroyd Photography

Now that the dust has firmly settled on 2018 I thought it would be a good time to look back and take stock of what has been an incredible last couple of years. Why two years? Well as many of you know Nikki gave birth to our twin boys Zac & Sam in May 2017 and I can honestly say that this is the first time I’ve come up for air to reflect on some of the amazing couples I’ve watched say ‘I do’ in that time.

2017 and 2018 included three beautiful weddings in Italy and Portugal. I’ve shot everything from a 3 day Asian weddings to a cheeky elopement here in London, from grand country houses to petting farms! In every case the weddings have been packed to the ceiling with love. I returned to some of my favourite venues in the UK including Morden Hall, The West Mill and Pembroke Lodge as well as introducing myself to lots of new spots including Aynhoe Park, Iscoyd Park, Ever After, Greatfosters, The Gherkin, Home House, Great Tythe Barn, and Nonsuch Mansion to name but a few.

There is a lot to look forward to in 2019 too with weddings booked in across the UK, Ireland, Italy and Montenegro. I’m further reducing the number of weddings I shoot to a cap of 25. I have space for three more weddings this year (as at March 2019) and 2020 is starting to fill out so if you’re looking for a photographer for this year, 2020 or beyond then do get in touch.
